Carol Shutt
Owner | Realtor | Designer
I began my career in real estate at Keller Williams Louisville East, on the Wegert Homes Team. After working alongside this team I transitioned to Covenant Realty in early 2018 to serve clients in a family style, family owned, local brokerage. The “office” feels like home to my team and all those I have the honor to advocate for in their real estate needs. My clients are treated as though they are family, putting utmost importance on advocacy, integrity and professionalism. For most, the transition of changing addresses is stressful and as your agent, whether in buying, selling or investing, I will walk before you, with you and behind you in each step of the process. My team values unity, integrity, attitude, communication and generosity. I am passionate about faith and family and I consider it an honor to serve those that put their trust in my abilities to seek, sell and design the places that we call home. I build my business by word of mouth referrals and work diligently to provide an unmatched experience in all areas that have to do with HOME. I am born and raised in Louisville Kentucky and grew up in the highlands, attended Assumption High School and went on to the University of Kentucky. I graduated in Physical Therapy and have always been motivated in my profession by SERVING. After years in patient care, I landed in home health care and found myself rearranging, renovating and assisting patients with home accessibility needs after life crisis events. This launched an opening of my home design business in 2009. I believe that the HOME is the Church and that it is a gift to be shared. It is a joy and passion for me to assist others in “seeing” what HOME can be and this lead to further my career in becoming a licensed Realtor. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve others and walk with others through this transition, transaction and transforming process of what we all call HOME.
I have been married to David Shutt for 34 years. He grew up in the Westport Road area and attended Trinity High School. He then headed to Transylvania University and then onto University of Louisville School of Dentistry. David practices general dentistry in the St. Matthews area. We have resided in Hurstbourne, St. Matthews, Anchorage and now Middletown/Eastwood area. We are blessed to have 4 sons, Bryan (married to Emily Storms), Travis (married to Mollie Beanblossom), Jordan (married to Shelbi Draper) and Barrett. My two daughters, Sofia and Mia have been grafted into our family through adoption. I am also known as Care-‐Care to my grandson Bennett. Pure joy! My large family covers a variety of schools, areas and interests in the local Louisville community and this has added to my knowledge and advocacy in different residential/school areas in Louisville. My parents and siblings all reside in Louisville.
David and I founded a non-‐profit in 2013, Open Door Ministries of Louisville, to assist the orphaned and oppressed both here and in Guatemala, the birth country of our daughters. We launch medical teams and home building teams where needed and assist those that are overlooked and in need. We are active members of Southeast Christian Church and enjoy using our home for the benefit of family, friends and those who need a place of refuge and support.
By choosing Carol Shutt Realty and Design you step into a commitment of a relationship that far extends the the realtor/client expectation. Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me.
