RUSTIC STYLE INTEGRATING ARTISTIC DESIGN, EARTHY ELEMENTS

AND CREATIVE COMFORT

Each and every room is used with this large family that opens the doors often. Not one space is for “show” but speaks, “come on in and sit awhile”. This was a very important goal of Carol’s as welcoming others is at the heart of the design. The setting makes this home a joy to change with the seasons for indoor and outdoor living. We love to encourage clients to purchase furnishings with flexibility of use. Indoor and outdoor spaces change with the seasons and it is fun to move chairs in and out or in a guest room if needed. Primitive pieces fit this “cabin” feel and you will find many of those used for different purposes throughout this home.

Traditional home blended with modern farmhouse

We are doing this with many homes in this category to updating floor stain, bathrooms, colors, fixtures, kitchens and even entryways so that other elements of modern design can be integrated and compliment, rather than clash. These owners use their home for many extended family events and so all spaces were desired to be “kid” friendly. Though a tiled floor is still present upon entry, the rustic elements give immediate casual comfort rather that formal design that won’t blend with fingerprints of little ones. Goal is always, CREATIVE COMFORT!

New Build/Traditional with creative, rustic appeal

This amazing home was completed 7 years ago and is still going strong with its warm and welcoming style revealing the personality of the owners. As is seen, color is NEVER out of style and can be integrated into spaces even with the neutral palette preference over these past couple of years. Carol worked diligently side by side with builder, Phil Fackler, to select all materials and finishes to ensure a spectacular outcome of a home that represented all the desires of the owners. All interior design features and furnishings were selected for an end result of an awesome "reveal" to the owners! Carol connected with local artists, finishers and vendors on this home so as you can see, it displays the beautiful work of many. This home speaks "one of a kind".

Country Retreat

This country retreat home was sold to buyers desiring a "get away" to Kentucky. These clients were served by Carol as both realtor and designer. The setting of this home gave the perfect canvas to create the "Kentucky Homestead" feel. Full cosmetic renovation was completed with both "old treasures" and new furniture. Every piece in this home was "new" to the owners as they reside in Pennsylvania and use this home as their "getaway" retreat. This is a perfect example of how Carol likes to search for unique "finds" to create new, yet "lived in" spaces. The owners describe this as "Carolized" and love to open their home to family and friends. All things chosen for this home had to endure the love of the owners, their 15 rescue dogs! This home will always have a special place in the heart of this realtor/designer.
